Date Fished: 4/9/2005 My partner Tim and I fished the D.A.R.E. tourney today. We started off in Cedar Cove as I had been catching a couple keepers there about every trip. But the bite wasn't there this morning. Our next stop was a little cut off the main lake, Tim boated a keeper there on a jig but again no other bites. So off to a spot in Honey Creek where we had done well a couple weeks back. We worked our way to the back of a cove with nothing happening, then I caught a 4.26 on a jerk bait and Tim caught another keeper fish along the same bank, we were also catching some short fish and thought things were looking up. The wind was howling into that area and the bite was going on. Then our Okla. Game And Fish Dept. showed up and wanted to see the license so that took a bit. By the time that was over we seemed to have lost the touch. We fished the rest of the day with only short fish every so often.All in all a good sunny and windy day on the lake but just short of making the payday with 7.49 and 13th place. We are off to Eufaula next weekend to fish the Skeeter Tourney, till then Good Luck and Good Fishing.
