Water Clarity: 2-3 feet Fish the lake for the first time on Friday, under sunny skies and gusty wind. It didn't take long for my partner to start hooking-up with SMB&LMB, and had four fish in the boat before I connected. I was too lazy to dig my crank-bait rod out of the box as he continued to hoist them in the boat. It got the best of me so I finally started throwing a lipless crank and started nailing them as well. We hammered both LMB and SMB off the same point for some time, throwing lipless cranks. We moved down lake when things slowed and picked up LMB here and there finding fish along shore, as well as, on open flats. We ran back to the first spot again and picked up several more before heading north to a point where we found a couple of nice SMB and LMB off of some rocks. We had doubles on six times throughout the day, as we both concluded that this day will likely be our best day of the year! Big LMB went just over 5lbs with big SMB pushing 4lbs. My partner keep tally and figured we ended up catching a bass every seven minutes. Snaggle tooth critters were also hungry and I lost four baits to their sharp dental-work.
