Subject: Guntersville, Alabama

Submitted by TroyJ/Angling Alabama

Date Fished: 5/7/2005

Water Temperature: 65
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Things seem to again be on the upswing the last couple of days. These are a few pics from the last couple of trips. Earlier in the week, I had a couple very tough trips. On Wed during the day we managed to get on a good stretch, where my clients caught 21 fish, with a best 5 near 22-lbs. We managed to get on a few good fish yesterday as well, but it was tougher today, especially for size.

On Wed we got on a great pattern throwing a #5 Fat Free Shad (deep runner) over deeper milfoil. Otherwise it's been the same pattern, a lot of good fish on either a Royal Shad Super Spot in 3 to 5 feet, or catching them on a Texas-rigged 6" YUM lizard (green pumpkin). At any rate, both numbers and size are becoming more consistent in shallow water.

I don't have any open days in May, but have some in June. Just in time for the jig bite. That is if winter ever gets out of here.

I setting up a summer evening deal for June, July and August. $150.00 for 2 people from 3pm to 8pm. Jig or Top-water. This catches the best 5 hours of the day for both the jig and the top-water bite. Those interested can email me or call.

Best of luck out there, especially to all the tournament guys on the water this week. (Yes, even you BFL and FLW guys...:) Be careful, be courteous and put them back alive.
