Water Clarity: 2-3 feet Got out to fish Tahkenitch with a buddy of mine yesterday. Turned out to be a beautiful day. We were fishing from pontoon boats so we were confined to the areas around the public dock. I ended up catching five in a couple hours, all in 3-4 feet of water, and all adjacent to deeper water. I guess they are just starting to move shallow. The biggest was about 3.5 pounds, the others were all in the 2+ pound range. Caught 2 on a 1/4 ounce spinnerbait, and three on a five inch zoom fluke.
At one o'clock we decided to drive down to tenmile to finish the day. Once again spent all our time near the public dock and the river. Caught a nice bass on my second cast under a bridge on a spinnerbait, and ended up catching about 9 in 3 hours, all the rest on the flukes. all the bass at tenmile we in the shade and relatively shallow. They were much more agressive than at Tahkenitch.
I did see one HUGE bass preparing a bed in about 4 feet of water. One of the biggest bass I've seen in my 28 years, I'd say she's every bit of nine pounds. overall, a great day of fishing..
