Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Finally made it to the lake at sunrise, and the results were worth it. Caught 10 today, and believe it or not only two came on the rig. Started off with walking bait and stuck with it. Smallies were ballistic on my sammy. Started with 85, but fish were magicians at avoiding the hooks, made the switch to 100 and that did the trick. Good cloud cover this AM, along with a little rain later on. When it slicked off and started raining the bite slowed. They were eating me up, back to back casts. Lost as many as I caught, and had twice that many more strikes. Nothing like watching a nice smallie rocket four feet out of the water and throw your bait. On a sad note I some how snapped the tip 5 inches off my GLX rig rod on the cast. What a bummer way to end an otherwise awesome day. Largest today close to 4 lbs, with several others in the 3 lb range. Not bad for a holiday weekend..LOL..BvB
