Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Got 4 largemouth and 2 smallmouth in about 4 hours on the water. The bite was sporadic, but they did seem to be feeding. The only bait that worked was a light tube jig deadsticked on the bottom around cover or in 5-6 feet of water off shore. Big largemouth was 4 pounds, with the best five fish going for about 15 pounds. The water is still very cold from the recent rains and lack of sun, and the fish are definitely in pre-spawn mode. Saw a largemouth that had to be 7 pounds holding next to a stump, but it wouldn't take anything i had to offer. I've caught some big fish out of this lake, including an 8 pounder in the summer of 2000.
