Date Fished: 6/12/2005
Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater

water is still quite high in the lincoln area. must be holding back water at the howland dam site. fish were taking but not the typical mid june fishing. i'm stuck on one lure type for the penobscot..... strike king zulu or the zoom fluke. can't seem to try anything else and why would ya. twitched on the surface, these plastic baits are by far the most enjoyable method of hooking into a smallie in the river current. the top water strikes are unbelievable. and most all hook sets are in the lip so release is quickm and simple. you haven't lived until you play with a 3 plus pound smallmouth in the river current.
