Date Fished: 6/18/2005
Water Temperature: 68
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Fished 7-12 on Sat. during BFL tourny. Lot's of boats were around. Rain had muddied up some areas and could see defined mud lines. Fished CP Bridge south toward Ti. Fished around grassy island for good 3 hours. Three of us, my son and his friend and myself, fishing managed to catch 12 on mostly senkos and tubes. Bite was real slow and fish were fincky. I suspect it was due to the 7 other boats that were fishing the same area from the tourny. Everyone caught fish must have seen 50 fish caught. Moved south and started fishing similar water, flats that were a little protected from the 15 to 20 mph wind. Found another good spot near marker bouy picked up another 6 fishing senko. Again managed to attract 6 other boats as we were fishing. Decided to call it a day and have lunch. Final tally was Dad 7, son 6, and friend 5. Most fish were on the small side largest was 3 lbs. average was 2 lbs.

Fished Sunday from 7-12 also. Tried fishing same type of areas. Started at grassy island again. this time only 2 boats in area. Managed to catch 5 from area fishing dark colored worm, senko, and tubes. very slow. Moved to several new areas because the wind had died down and began fishing flats that were wind blown yesterday. Fish were scattered in this area of lake. Mostly catching one here and one there. managed to lose one good fish on black jig. Saw the fish hit somethingon the water. Tossed a jig in, it bit and set the hook only to pull the fish to the top where it rolled and the jig came loose.

Tried moving to cove north of Ti on NY side. Water got really muddy about 6 in visibility. Fished for good hour with no bites. Decided to move back north for last hour and fished some of the rocky points and drops with Titanium single willow green and white spinner bait. Managed a couple more fish doing this. My son managed on fish on worm. It was a day to be patient, with the fishing pressure from the tourny and more today. Final tally was Dad 15, son 1, friend 0. Not big fish most were 1-2 lbs.

Great fathers day present and many good memories on Dads day when you can take your son fishing.
