Date Fished: 6/21/2005
Water Temperature: 65
Water Clarity: 0

Fished a few hours each day of last weekend. High water pushed the bass up near the banks and deep in the grass. Most effective was senko skipped under canopies, next to large submerged logs, and deep into emerging grass beds. Twenty one fish, largest 5 going 15.5lbs with a 4.0 largemouth and a 2.8 smallmouth among the 5 best. Had a very nice fish break my 12 lb line and had a 3.25 lmb bend my medium heavy g loomis so far that the fish literally swam under the boat to the opposite side and jumped out of the water before finally succumbing. The Yum dinger frog also worked OK, but the bass spit it out quick so strict attention to your line is required. With the senko, you can set the rod down and crack a cold one, pick it up and set the hook. Careful not to let them swallow it though.
