Water Clarity: 2-3 feet This report is for Friday, June 17th. Took Robbie & Matt to my neighbor's pond after my morning nap as I'd just finished my last midnight shift. We fished from about 2:00 pm till 4:00pm. I caught two bass, the first being 14 1/4" and weighed 1 lb 13 oz and the 2nd was 13 1/8" and was 1 lb 3 oz. I caught them on a 3/8 oz Spotsticker red-headed spinnerbait with a chartreuse and white skirt and tandem nickel willowleaf blades. Then we went down to the lower pond, where my son, Robbie caught his first bass on an actual lure, which was an 1/8 oz Strike King Bitsy Pond Minnow crankbait in white with chartreuse back. The bass was 11 3/4" long and weighed 13 ounces. Matt finished out the outing with a half dozen bluegill/green sunfish hybrids that he caught using yellow Berkley Gulp corn nuggets. Be careful in this heat and remember to take the kids fishing.
