Water Clarity: 2-3 feet water is a couple of feet higher than normal for this time of the year. the fish are there but were the bigger ones are hiding is beyond me. three of us fished out of 2 boats and were following a few other boats most of the day. i was still throwing those crazy flukes/zulus and the smallmouth just can't leave them alone. hooked and released 9 fish before getting to the top of the island oppisite the launch. then crossed the river to the east side where there had been a boat fishing the shoreline the whole time we moved up the island....... and still was able to play with a couple of 3 pounders and 5 other smaller bronze backs that were holding tight to the edges. we called it a day around the noon hour. the water went to flat just before then and there were a few rises here and there and i was able to coax a few to the zulu casting to the post rise areas.
