Subject: Numerous Lakes, Delaware

Water Clarity: 0 First time bass fishing in Delaware. I do have to admit that the state of Delaware has some n ice Lakes/Ponds for bass fishing. My 9 year old grandson and I spent the week of 6/20 thru 6/24 fishing for bass. First we hit Killens on 6/20, had a good time we caught 8 bass most in the 2 to 2 1/2 lb. range. All were caught on 4" Senko's Cinn. with black flakes. On 6/21, fished McGinnis in the morning and caught 3 bass and 1 pickerel. In the afternoon we fished Andrews Pond where we caught 3 bass all on 4" Senko's. On 6/22, we fished Trap and it was a real good day. The sky was overcast and a slight breeze. We headed to the back cypress trees. Fished last cove on the right in front of the dock. We were using Snapback soft Jerkbait in watermellon color. My grandson caught a nice 3 1/2 pounder of the dock. All day long the bite was on this soft jerkbait. He caught 3 other bass aroung 2 - 2 1/4 lbs. I caught a 3 pounder and the rest were around 11/2 to 2 pounds. Went back to Trap on 6/23 and used the same lures and caught 5 more bass around 2 pounds each. I did enjoy myself watching my grandson catch 18 bass during our stay in Delaware. I will be back to fish Trap and a few other lakes like Como this summer.
