Date Fished: 7/30/2005
Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater

Fished Smallies today between Elkton and Scottsburg. Was on the water early in my pontoon boat and action started right away as they worked bait to the surface. A small road-runner caught 4 fish in as many casts. Fish tend to run small here. Nine inchers seemed to be the average. I caught two decent fish (about 14"), one on a brown tube jig and the other on a shad colored Rat L Trap. By 10:30am the fish went deep since it was a hot sunny day and the bite tapered off. I quit about 1 pm since I ran out of shade to fish from.
