Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Hello Friends - The bass are busy feeding on most days with a few slow times mixed in. The hot temps with high pressure are the worst conditions you will face. Plastic's fished slow and low are the number 1 artificial bait. Carolina rigged or weightless. It all depends on what the fish want. The best area's for big trophy bass have been near leaning wood, shaded structure or underwater humps and drops. This means staying close to the north south ditches in farm 13 or working the wood that is farthest out from the south end. Moving water when you can find it has produced with live shiners near the strongest current and carolina rigged plastic's farther out. Everything else is hit and miss but worth a try if conditions call for it. Top water presentations and spinnersbait's have brought few fish to the boat in general. We have had the magical hour or two where anything will work right before a large rainstorm. Fishing a half a day will beat the heat and most of the rain. Dark colors work best with watermelon a must as a back-up. Shiner fisherman should try both floats and free lined presentations. Good luck!
