Fished early morning smallmouth west of Elkton today. Was a foggy morning to start out and I think I was awake before the fish. Must be a first!

By 6:30 am they started herding baitfish to the surface and caught two 12" bass on 4" silver finesse minnows and one on a purple senko. The smaller bass seem to like roadrunners. Had a real nice fish of about 5 lbs try to hammer a sluggo but I missed about the same time she did. As usual the bite tappered off about 11am since the fog burned off and sunny at almost 90 degrees.
