Date Fished: 8/21/2005 Water Temperature: 90 Well, yesterday was super tough, and so was most of today. I got out this morning with a couple of guys for a 1/2 a.m. day trip, and we caught only one fish. I think that was the only bite we had. I know I didn't have a bite. All I can say is I guess I didn't have the right good luck charm in the boat, because when my friend Kristin from Canada showed up, it was like... whala... someone waived a magic wand over the whole lake. After a big salad lunch at Water Front, Kristin and I went fishing for a couple of hours. She definitly remembered how to pitch the big Booyah Jig, and had no trouble catching fish. We caught 7 and missed a number of others. Best 5 about 22 pounds. I was impressed, Kristin fished Smith Lake last night with the Fishing Diva, and they put a hurtin on most of the Smith regs by finishing 2nd. Then, she comes up here from where we Guntersville boyz like to call the fairy wand farm and herks them out of the grass with a 1oz jig on braided line. Don't tell me the gals can't fish... The dropping pressure as the storms built this afternoon really aided the bite. Good luck, be safe on the water and let them go alive.
