Water Clarity: 2-3 feet Man I redeemed myself today after a terrible week on wheeler. Fished wheeler for a short while yesterday and it sucked. Caught 3 small fish on a crankbait right at dark. My cousin came up from West Ala., and went with me today. Put in at Waterfront today, fished 5:30-3. Caught an ok limit before 7:30. Fished patches of grass with topwater bite ok. Landed a 4.5lb on a buzzbait but caught most fish on a fluke and tiki stick. We swam 10" worms to catch most of the fish. Managed a 3.0lb on a zoom trick worm rigged with a Jobee jighead. We stayed in 8-12ft of water mainly, going deeper as the sun got higher and the water temps raised. Still can't figure 'em out during the late morn-noon? The bite didn't get better until after 12. Fishing grass off the main channel near docks was the trick today. We landed 20 fish or so and had several strike outs. Didn't really get the heavy-weights. Most fish were 1-3lbs. I went through a whole pack of zoom 10" worms. tight lines and sharp hooks!
