Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater I can't remember the last time I hit any type of fall bite. The water is still 70 and in another two weeks it'll be time to put the boat to bed so I can chase whitetails. I planned on targeting lower-river LMB instead of running north for SMB. Cloudy skies with breezy and calm periods were the conditions today. It took some time for the first fish that hit a shallow-crank. It took about as long for next fish that hit a spinner-bait on the outside edge of some lily-pads followed up by a 3lb+ fish. Several other LMB hit the spinner-bait, but not much for size. Tried pitching plastics to weed edges only to miss a couple of hits. Took a nice 3lb+ fish on a Kinami Flash along some concrete but he had no friends willing to bite. The only afternoon activity I encountered was a passionate couple that I walked upon while retrieving my trailer. The sight was almost as good as a LMB taking a top-water. HeHe! Girls Rule! Pretty slow for the most part, but pieced together about a 12lb limit.
