Fished Annabessacook sunday morning and Wilson pond Tuesday. This was my first time at Annabessacook and it was thick with fog at the boatramp so I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out where to go until the fog burnt off. Windy too. Anyway, found lots of dying weeds so looked for live green weeds and finally found in the stream that empties eventually into lake cobbosee on the southeast end. Caught 6 bass, largest 3.25, all on sugoi chartreuse topwater, most right near where the stream flows out of the lake, in 2-6 feet of water. Bite ended at 9am when the wind kicked up to a howl. This lake looks like it would be great in the spring as the weedbeds start to develop but seems challenging right now.

Fished Wilson again on Tuesday and caught big fish but not many. in 6 hours boated only 9 bass, all on hardware (no plastic or senko bite at all), largest 4.1, another 3.7 and several 2.5's. Largest again came on the Sugoi topwater. Yamamoto sells this lure and it costs like $12 and it works extremely well, but the paint chips off after just a few fish. Reminds me of the senko that works great but falls apart quick. Planned obsolescence? Maybe he sells more lures that way.

On Tuesday all my succcesful baits looked like a perch in some way, whether topwater, spinnerbait, or crankbait. For the most part the fish were shallow and relating to docks or beaverhuts etc.

There was a club tournament here a week ago and I think the winners had 8 fish at over 20lbs. Sure would like to know what their formula was.
