Water Clarity: 0 Fished Wallum on early morning Weds. Talked to a friend who went out Sunday and did good had 5 for bout 16 pounds with a 6 pound kicker, he said there were a lot of bass boats so must have been a tourney out on there. Any info on the tourney would be good cause I'm always on Wallum and would like to start a Wendsday night thingy up there next spring.
Anyways started fishing shallow along the few docks on Wallum and rip rap with chuggers and torpedos with a few fourteen inchers. I stayed shallow fishing little secondary points on the left side of the lake with jerkbait and got a few more, nothing spectacular but it was a good day. Couldn't believe the amount of fish that have moved up shallow. It's like Stafford or Webster in the spring! My friend that went out Sunday said a lot of fish on 6-8 foot ledges on Smithwick jerkbait but somethings going on because I got them in 6-8 inches of water! I felt like KVD throwing the shallow Rogue like he did down in Pittsburgh but too bad there aren't any good bridges up here. lol. Take it easy on the trolling motor if you are fishing shallow cause that damn waters' so clear you'll spook anything within a hundred feet of ya. But it was a good day had 5 fish go about 11 pounds. O well thats fishing,an ok day of fishing is better than any day of work right?
