Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Hi fellow bassers, made it out on the lake today and what a great day weather wise it was. The clouds broke and the sun came out and at times the wind stopped for quite awhile making it feel warmer. I did manage to catch 5 largemouths, 3 on a suspending rogue and 2 on a spinnerbait. The biggest was a 5 pounder caught on the rogue in 8 feet of water. I was sitting in 5 feet throwing out to 8 and just stopped twitching it when I saw my line take off and I set the hook. It took off and put up a great fight even as the water temp had dropped from 57 last week to 47 today the fish when I did finally find one hit good and fought good. I tried fishing deep, 20+ feet looking for bigger bass with tubes and senko's but no one was home so I stayed with running down the shore fishing all the points and coves that were in the sun. I'm still finding green weeds at 10 feet but no fish around them. The smallies have all up and disappeared on that lake. I haven't found them shallow or deep so I'm not sure what happened to them but I do know that this lake holds some big smallies but they must be playing hide and seek and guess what,"they won" because no matter what I tried to find them, it didn't work. Thats what I like about a lake with both l/m and s/m in it, if ones not on the other usually is. Well, thats all I have for now friends and until next time, keep fish'n, DAVID
