For those of you looking for a valid Mexico report, this is it.

Just got back from Angler's Inn on Lake El Salto. Fished Nov. 17-20th. My buddy and I caught between 43-68 fish per day. Could really have been more but my buddy had never fished before. And he still caught a lot of fish. Our biggest was a pair of 8lbers, one 7 lber. over 30 6-lbers and too many 4-5s to count.

There's an incredible buzzbait bite early and late. Then plastics during the hot part of the day (mostly Senkos and 10" worms). Took $150 worth of new, expensive, deep-diving Rapalas and jerkbaits but never even took them out of the box. My advise, at least for this time of year, would be to take TONs of plastics. 10" Powerbaits in red shad, black/blue and watermelon. Lots of Senkos too.

And the lodge is as good as they say. You won't be treated better anywhere.
