Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater Fished El Salto at Chapman Balderram resort. Fished December 8th-11th with a group of 9 guys. Have been to El Salto before, and this was our best trip for numbers and quality of fish. Biggest of the group was 9.2, about 6 in the 8+lb range, and lots of 4-7 lb's. Average per boat per day was 60-80+. Good top water bite in am and late in the day, right on the bank shallow. Mostly pop'rs and some buzz baits.
Had a great senko, wacky style bite all day long. Bring lots of senkos. we used the 5" size in all colors, but green, or green with stripes or flakes worked the best. Hit 6 & 8" lizzards all day long also, watermellon chartruese or cotton candy worked the best for us.
