Date Fished: 12/17/2005 Water Temperature: 51 Out today all day with Dan Wonder. Dan and I worked on his spooning and jig fishing all day. We spent alot of time on spooning but didnt catch any real good fish on the spoon. I had two very big fish pull off the spoon but only landed a few keepers. We did have some shorts and two perch. Once that nonsense was over, we picked up our jigs and went to work. We worked steep rock banks and docks for 7 or 8 good keepers and one spot that Dan caught that was between 4.5 adn 5.0 pounds. The picture of that fish did not come out that well but it was a true pig. We had 5 other fish that was over 2 pounds and had a decent limit. I would not say a big limit by winter standards. I believe today was a great day for a big fish, we only landed one of them. My two big ones did not make it to the boat. Things will get back to normal once we get some sun back next week.
