Subject: Allatoona, Georgia Submitted by hrus
Date Fished: 1/26/2006 Water Temperature: 47 Lanier sure has lots and lots of big ones and lots of fish. I felt the Dead Sea (Allatoona) must have been pretty dead ‘cause I have rarely seen pictures of Allatoona fish here (saw some on the forum on Allatoona Fishing site but that site is down). These 2 fish that I caught last week proved me wrong. The dead sea is not really dead (yet). Both fish, and a few others decent ones, were all caught in less than 2 feet of water! Tried many lures but they only hit crankbait. I threw small Norman and Bandit to get them. They were in the very back of coves close to Galts Ferry. The water was stained. I believe it’s probably pretty stained all the way to the dam now. Does anyone know? Also tried deep spoon and got one white bass. Not much linesides action for me last week.
