Water Clarity: 1 foot fished coffeen lake on Monday--water temp varied from 50-60F depending upon where you were. Very cold day but fishing was very good in the morning. I caught some good fish on a shallow running crankbait (little N--green and blue) and slow rolling a 1/2 oz white spinnerbait. My partner caught one really nice fish (5.5 lbs) on a jig and had 8 others on stick baits. Given the cold weather, fishing was pretty good with very few other boats to compete against. Am headed back there end of the week but expect a crowd. All the power plant lakes are crowed this time of the year in Illinois. Good news is that spring is around the corner
