Water Clarity: 1 foot Fished Guerrerro form 2/15 thru 2/24.Towed my own boat and stayed at campo La Isla on the Corona river. Caught tons of fish on every imaginable lure and pattern/depth (except topwater)The most consistant bite was 16-18 feet on a C-rig. Could have easily surpassed 100+ fish per day if size weren't a factor. Couldn't seem to key in on the really big fish this year. The water was off colored from the winds and down 2' from last year at this same time. Had one day where the temp didn't get above 53 degrees. That's a blizzard in Mexico! Still, the sheer numbers of fish are impressive. It shows evidence of great spawns the past couple of years and good fry survival. I am seeing a good move toward conservation by the Mexican lodge owners and the netting seems to be quite limited. Limits and size restrictions are being enforced. If these conservation efforts and lake levels continue to be managed properly, I see no reason that Guerrerro should not return to or even surpass the glory days of yesteryear.
