Subject: Allatoona, Georgia Submitted by hrus
Date Fished: 3/15/2006 Water Temperature: 59 Took time off and expected to catch a load of crappies this afternoon. Well, they didn’t cooperate too well. Had to adjust and ended up with 4 crappies, 1 cat fish, 30 white bass, and 7 bass. More than made up for the lack of crappies, of course. The guys from Allatoona team tournament bulletin board were right. The good size spots are biting. All were caught between Little river area and Field landing. Threw different things but they only bit crappie jig, ¾ oz spoon, rattle trap. In fact, one of the bass was caught on the crappie jig. The spoon bites were only about 15 feet deep. I’m just glad that the whites activities have begun. I’m not proud. I like to catch anything that bites. Didn’t find any stripers though. Hopefully/maybe the stripers will get permission from First Bite to leave Allatoona pass area and head up the rivers soon. LOL. I can’t wait. There are 3 remarks about this report.
