First bass of 2006, finally! I checked out Adair Pond north of Corvallis today and caught a fair-sized bass off of some sunken brush. I was using a purple fleck worm, rigged "Pancho-style." Twas the only fish of the day I'm afraid, but for a tiny body of water where no one else caught anything it's not bad.

I also checked out Simpson Pond in Albany, but I need to get back in there with my canoe for any fishing. I'm psyched, the sun's coming out and the water's getting warmer. Soon enough I'll be cruising some Willamette sloughs and area lakes for Mr. Micropterus. Tight lines to anybody reading this, and if you see me on the water feel free to say hey. There's not that many bass fisherman here in the valley (compared to other places I've lived) so we gots to stick together!

Pancho
