Water Clarity: 0 Wife and I fished below Bluestone Dam in New River for first time this year. Only caught 3 but completed the "Grand Slam" so to speak. First fish was a 1 1/2 pound spotted bass that hit a 20 year old REBEL humpy crankbait in crawfish pattern. Caught him in about 2 ft of water right below the dam at the mouth of the trough opposite route 20. The next fish was a 1 pound smallmouth that hit a CORDELL Big O (I had lost the humpy by that time) ): Topping off the Grand Slam was a 2 pound largemouth that hit a old MANNS shallow running plug that I've also had for years. Caught all fish on a Team Daiwa Alphas ITO baitcasting reel and a custom built 7' ml action rod.
