Subject: Lake Lanier, Georgia Submitted by Hammond's Fishing and Boat Storage
Date Fished: 4/10/2006 Water Temperature: 61 Well, I've been in Panama City for the last week. The sheeps head fishing and the spanish mackerel fishing was great in the pass and in the bay. I've had all of our boats out on Lanier while we were gone and we had boats out this morning from 7-11:30. Today, we caught a mixed bag of stripers and spots on freeline bluebacks fished in the mouths of southend creeks and out over the river channel. All of our stripers were caught on freelines over open water that was from 70-120 feet deep. The fish are moving out to the mouths of the creeks and further out over the river channel. They were rolling on top in many places this morning from 7-8 and again from 10-11. I pulled many points, but the stripers were further out. I hate to give the same reports everyday, so in the future I will give them on Monday and Thursday afternoons, or if something changes in between. Overall, the fishing remains good.
