Water Clarity: 1 foot The fishing was really good around the islands and dam areas. The best lures was anything watermelon with red metal flake. 10 inch worms were very productive around the dam. Spinner baits, white and chartreuse, in shallow water produced lots of "buck" bass. Top water is worth a try very early but with the wind blowing we did not have very good luck except on the calm mornings (Zara Spooks, Baby Torpedo, Chug Bugs). Bob and Joe were fishing with Jose (guide) and boated a 12 pounder on a watermelon red flake 10 inch worm near the dam. My fishing partner Ray had a great day with a 10 pounder, 2 - 5 pounders and a couple of 4's. He was real easy to get along with that day...lol I will be going to Hacienda Santa Fe www.trophyfishingetc.com with my family the week after Easter and will post a report then......Ron
