Fished Guntersville today and had a great time. Buddy and I caught a limit full. Had two fish that we decided to keep to bring back to our local pond. Ran into a guide at the ramp and he suggested that we were breaking the law by doing so. Talked with a buddy over the phone who assured that it was legal to transplant a bass as long as we didnt cross state lines. Much to the fussing of the guide we left and of course he said he was calling the police, game warden, etc. We stayed polite and told him (and his father who pulled up a few minutes afterward) that we did not think we were breaking any laws.

We caught a bunch of fish and released all but two. A 6.5 and a 7.2 who were not killed and they now live in our lake in Birmingham.

Just curious anybody have any ideas on this? Good, Bad, Ugly?
