Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater My son and I caught several small smallies (8 - 11 in.) on clown crankbaits along the shoreline near the boat ramp. We were fishing during mid-day. The fish were following but not hitting a minnow colored jerkbait but when we switched to the clown they started smacking it. Also got one on a 5" pumpkin senko under a dock. It was my first time there and didn't really know what to expect. Based on the habitat I saw, there must be some larger bass in there!
