Water Clarity: 2-3 feet Hello, I just started fishing around the area thought I would try out Pushaw Lake. I went and put a canoe in at lucky landing. Went up on the islands and started fishing. I went on the calm side of the islands cause my canoe couldn't handle the wind. I was using a Rattle Trap crawfish color. I fished for about 3 hours ended up with 4 fish. The last fish had to have been pushing four pounds. I’m not much of a small mouth guy I do all large mouth back home. I'm out here for a couple months and really want to learn how to perfect the smallies. Maine really has great bass waters from what I here. I'm posting because I just wanted to see if anyone knows any other parts of the lake or even around the area that hold good smallies. And whats you lure of choice? I hear guys talking about flukes. I have a canoe and a truck and really just want to catch as many fish as possible. If anyone has any information on the Penobscot River that would be great.
