Water Clarity: 1 foot Fished Saturday from 6:00 till 1:00. Should have quit at 9:00 because the bite was done by then. Caught a couple of stripers on freelined blueback off points in the southend. Sunday back on the water at 6:30. Put in at 6 mile and saw a few fish busting the surface as I was motoring out. Stopped and put out free lines and started throwing a super spook and redfin. Ended up having a great morning catching 3 stipers and a couple of spots on the redfin. There is nothing quite like watching a fish boil up at your lure then setting the hook. Suprisingly, they ignored my live bait. The only striper I hooked on the freelined herring actually boiled up and slapped the redfin twice before taking the herring. The bite lasted until about 9:30. By 10:00 a.m. you could just feel that it was dead. The stripers obviously decided to take the rest of Memorial Day off - I thought I saw a very large one skipping across my wake on a jet ski about 11:30.
