Water Clarity: 1 foot I fished May 26th - 29th and had a ball. I went to the lake with my 22 year old son Kevin and the weather was great and the fish did their job. We caught no "grandes" but had many in the 3 - 6 pound class. Most of our fish were caught shallow. We were pitching watermelon/chart Baby Brush Hogs with 3/16 weights against the standing willow trees in 3 to 4 feet of water. We caught some along the banks of the Purafacation River and the rest of them were caught around the islands (those with willow trees). The night before we left the weather got real bad and it rained all night. All of the rivers that we checked on the way home were flowing. I hope it will cause the level to rise. It has been very dry and the need for the water from the lake to irrigate the fields has been great. The lake is still much higher than it was a few years ago. I am planning a trip in August to fish the night before, the night of and the night after the full moon. The two largest fish that I ever netted were both caught at night. I hope on this trip I will be doing the catching and someone else will be doing the netting. If you would like to join us call me at 800-284-5210........Ron Castille
