Water Clarity: 2-3 feet Took my 9 year old son Tray down to Mitchell this morning in hopes of catching stripe. Started out up river throwing Fish Heads and flukes with no success. Headed down river past Higgins Ferry and stopped on a deep open water hump. Tray caught a 2-1/2 pound spot on the first cast (FHS). On his second cast he caught a 4 pound stripe. I thought we were on to something. Wrong! We didn't get another bite. So, we headed back up river to a couple of honey holes. The spots were there but a little finicky. Ended up catching 14 spots (best 5, 10 lbs.) and 1 stripe on the day. Met a very nice gentlemen fishing a club tourny solo (10 fish limit). I hope I was able to help him out with a few tips. Last time I saw him he had his limit. Water temps are a little lower than they were last week. Maybe fall is on the way.LOL. Good Luck! A.D.
