Date Fished: 9/2/2006 I was out on the Columbia over Labor Day weekend (not anywhere near Portland) and it was on like donkey kong!!! The fish where going goofy!!! In two days we caught over 300 fish and I caught the biggest smallie of my life! The hottest bait was this new 3.5" Firetail tube from Outlaw. They're not in stores but we've been doing incredible well on them. About 2/3s of our fish and all our bigger fish came on these tubes. (Normal colors worked ok, but nothing like the Firetails). The Lucky Craft LV300s (not in stores either) killed them too. These are by far the best lipless baits I've ever seen. They don't have rattles like a normal lipless they just have a knocker. My buddy was out fishing me 4 to 1 until I tied one on. The evening topwater bite was insaine! My new Lucky Craft Gunfish (I just bought it online b/c it's not in stores) was going retarded! We caught 80+ fish in the last two hours one night and they really wanted the Gunfish over any other lure. I was fishing it from the back of the boat and killling my buddy's Sammy and Spook until he put on a Gunfish. It was a trip of a lifetime!
