Took a couple of guys from Toledo, Ohio to Mitchell Sunday. They had never been fishing for largemouth or spotted bass before. We started the day throwing top water with a few blow ups but no hook-ups on the first stop. The second stop was a different story. We boated 14 fish in about 45 minutes on flukes and jerk baits. At 8:00 we went out on the ledges with FHS and spoons. From 8:00 - 10:30 we caught 15-20 more with the biggest being a 3-1/2 pounder. Total for the day was 30-35 fish best 5 would have been close to 14 pounds. These guys told me stories of catching 4-5 pound Smallies and Walleye on Lake Erie and said that the Coosa River Spots were the hardest fighting fish that they have ever caught. They were screaming "get the net" on 2 pounders!I will post pics of the trip with the "Yankees's" later today. I am having trouble with my camera. AD
