Date Fished: 9/5/2006
Water Temperature: 60
Water Clarity: 4 feet or greater

Tried this small lake by Lake Goodwin. 2pm until dark. I had some luck with spinner bait for dinks around any logs or branches. You could cast to 1" of shore and see the lure the whole time and they would chase it. I did manage after a while to find a better pattern on SE end of the lake. They were in the lilly pads in 2-3 feet of water and would chase a red mepps spinner. Caught about 3-4 on this pattern. It was a sunny day and bit windy. Last pattern was hula popper in front of the docks fished really slow. This is where we started to get some size. I ended up hooking 16 and 2 were 11" and 2 were 10". Has anyone ever caught a large fish out of this lake? I did hook a 14" and 12" the first time out on spinner baits.

Good luck out there.

Jim
