  Subject: Lake Baccarrac , Mexico

Submitted by Lake Baccarac lodge (ip 75.32.51.162)

Date Fished: 10/10/2006
Water Temperature: 81
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Mike Carne of Seattle, WA, had a great morning - five fish over 10 lbs. with the biggest one being over 13 lbs. That's right! An incredible morning of fishing. We do not feel like this is a one-day wonder. Rene and his guides have noticed the bigger fish becoming more shallow as the lake continues to rise from the rains in the mountains. The Rancho Padre area is procuding numbers of bass, while targeting submerged islands and the long points with carolina-rigged black lizards and pearl swimbaits has produced the big fish. We are starting to see topwater using Zara Spooks, quietly working them on the shaded banks near Sonny's cove.
