Date Fished: 10/29/2006 Trophy Bass Lodge has been open three weeks now, and the first groups down have had some awesome trips. Last year was fantastic the entire year, and it looks like this season has picked up where last season left. Frank Walker, one of our Big Bass Challenge winners from last season, fished five days and had seven fish between 10 and 12 pounds with the big pig being 12.6 lbs. When George, my lodge manager, told me what lures where working he pretty much covered everything. The best of the best, however, seem to be a Zara Spook, soft plastic jerk baits, mid range crankbaits and swimbaits. The lake is around 90% full pool and water conditions are excellent. Most clients have averaged over 100 fish per day. November is usually topwater month, but it sound like it has already started in October. I am great to let all of our customers know that our chef, Freddie, has returned for another season! He does an incredible job of delivering top notch dishes. Hector is back as well, with George our fearless leader and crazy Luis our cheif guide. We are looking forward to a great year!
