Well in an attempt to control the algea blooms in the lake. They made a decision to use chemicals to kill and prevent the algea blooms. The treatment was done in late September 2006. Not sure if this was the way to go. This may be short sided solution. More efforts should have been made to control the cause. Slow leaking of sewage into the lake from the homes tightly ringing it. I'm sure the dumping will be praised by some. Those that swin, water, and jet ski. That leaves the poor fisherman to only hope his interests have not been affected. The use of chemicals should always be a last resort. Will see what 2007 brings.
