Water Clarity: 6 inches The TOP CATS Inaugural Tournament (Christian Anglers Top Six) was held on the 3rd of Feb. at False River. 18 teams participated in the event. 3 teams from each of the 6 participating clubs hit the water at 7 AM with below freezing temps awaiting the anglers. Anglers Of Christ out of Lafayette took top honors with a 6.92 lb weight just edging out the Christian Fellowship of Bass Anglers also from Lafayette, their total weight was 6.72 lbs. Gonzales based Masters Casters finished 3rd with a 5.45 lb bag. 4th Place went to the Fishin for Jesus group from Zachary with their 5.30 lb catch. Pine Prairie's Anglers For Christ picked up 5th with a 2.34 lb catch. The Miss-Lou Christian Club from Ferriday ended up in sixth place. Big Fish for the day went to Gonzales' George Zimmer with a nice 4.09 lb largemouth. Fishing was tough but the fellowship was great...
