The fishing is really great at this time. Most anglers are catching lots of fish and there are a good number of big fish being caught from 3 feet all the way to 25 feet. Watermelon/red flake lizards with the tail dipped in chart/dip-N-dye is the lure of choice. Camping is now possible at Hacienda Santa Fe. They have room and board accommodations for you guys wanting to pull your own boats and they also offer guided fishing trips using the lodges’ boats. The service is great and the food is wonderful. Their Big Bass board there has two 13 pounders registered in the last two weeks, with an 11 pounder and five 10 pounders, also recorded. The weather has been colder than normal and the great fishing will continue, I think, until the end of May.
