Water Clarity: 0 Today started slow, started fishing at 11 am and tried senkos and CB's shallow with no results. The wind decided to kick up and I took Jimmy's advice and we started down a long steep shoreline with the wind blowing in our direction. We used SB's and caught 9 good bass, mostly females from 2 to 6 lbs ( one was 6 } we had 3 other ones that went between 3 to 4 lbs and several spots in the 2 lb range. We went downstream and found another long deep bank with the wind blowing in and picked up 2 more nice ones. All in all we boated a dozen nice bass, got sunburned and really enjoyed the day. In my opinion it is too early for the spawn but these females were busting their guts with eggs but the abscence of smaller males was confusing in as much as they generally show themselves first, who knows? Great day. Good luck all. I will be up at Smith Mt Lake in Va. at the end of May and possibly the C rig on secondary points may come into play.
