  Subject: DeQueen Lake, Arkansas

Submitted by fishinmom (ip 67.142.130.34)

Date Fished: 3/28/2007
Water Clarity: 0

Fished from noon to 5:00, and it took me awhile to realize that the fish were just not biting shallow. Ended up catching over 30 black bass (LM and Spots) using a white fluke fished over rocky points and by the bridge pilings. The bass were good sized up to 4 pounds, and were very aggressive.

At 4:00 the sun came out, the wind died, and the fish quit feeding. I was very surprised to find them hitting top water flukes this time of year. Lots of fun while it lasted.
