Sam Rayburn is .05 over pool The water temperature is running in the low 70s . The water is starting to clear up some .

This week we started off with some good fish being caught in several places . The best fish came from flipping the edges of the brush and Grass lines with a few in water around 3 to 4 foot deep. When you have fish up in that depth of water , presentation is the biggest key. We had a lot of fish on the inside grass line as well as buried in the grass Some of the baits we used where Bandit Crank Baits, Rogues , Spinner Baits, Wacky Worms and Texas Rig Worms . I can’t say it has not been tuff this spring, With the water dropping so fast in Feb it put these fish in a tail spin. We have caught several big females that have just spawned out. Bed fishing has been hard to do with the water being a little off color. Some of the colors this week have been Pumpkin Seed , Green Pumpkin, Red Bug, and Water Melon Red with a little Chartreuse spike-it on the tail . Change color if you not getting bites .

Crappie are still a little slow with a few places giving up some good Slabs. Live bait and jigs floating over the grass has done good along with Road Runners catching a few It looks like we had a small wave of them that moved into spawn and the rest are still waiting. If you haven’t got your trip planned, now is the time to get it done. Give us a call. Remember that a day FISHIN’ beats a day at work. You bring the Boss along and let’s give him SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT. Remember to bring a camera to take pictures of your big catch and maybe some of the local wildlife. Blue herons and Eagles also like to fish on this beautiful lake.
