I fished in the Wal-Mart tourney over the weekend. What a great experience it was for me. It was my first big tournament to ever fish, and even though I didn't win any money me and my partner still had a limit. (2 overs & 3 unders) We had one ounce under 7lbs. Most were caught early on topwater with the biggest being caught at 2:25 on a lizard.

I know what you are thinking now, whats the big deal right. I have a servre form of Muscular Dystrophy and have been in a wheelchair for 5 years now and have very weak muscles throughout my body. Just to even get into a boat takes my partner picking me up and putting me in, then helping me onto the fishing seat at every stop. I'm not telling this for people to go aww or feel sorry for me, but to just share my story hoping someone will be motivated by it.

Due to my condition, I'm not able to compete in sports like most other people athough I love competition. So when by buddy purchased his bass boat last month, he had is set up special so I could go with him and compete in fishing tournaments and have the experinces like I had sat.

Like I said, we didn't win any money, but I came out a winner in my book because I proved that just because I have a disibility dosen't mean that I can't compete and do well. You can definetly look foward to seeing me at more tourneys in the future. Just look for the crazy wheelchair driver at the weigh-ins.
